Finally got to editing

Todays the day that I finally got into editing. We decided that we would all edit bits and pieces then mush it together to make one epic video. It worked last time with the commercial so it should work now. I'm using an editing software called shotcut, its really good and surprisingly free. Anyway lets get back to the important stuff. I sent all the film I took on my phone and emailed it to myself. On my pc I opened Gmail and downloaded the video clips. I uploaded them into shot cut and got to work. We were going for a nostalgic effect with this music video so I looked for a grainy filter. There were lots to try from and I found the one I liked. I applied it to the video and voila, magic. Already everything was building up in my head on how to perfect this music video. I cut the clips with parts that were unneeded and and a little bit of a blur when doing the transitions between clips so it looked as if everything was filmed in one shot. I was very proud of my editing and couldn't wait to show my teammates. Here's where the real problem occurred. I couldn't get the edit to export onto my computer. I tried different methods but nothing worked. I saved my edit and restarted my computer and still nothing worked. To this moment while I'm writing this blog nothing has worked hopefully it will change. Overall not including the export problem I have had a good day of filming. Signing off for tonight, see ya later.
