Royalty free music is the way to go

Image
I realized that I haven't talked about what happened with the music. We got no response from anyone, not even a confirmation. So, we knew we had to use royalty free music. And so the hunt had begun. I scoured multiple websites to find the perfect song. Everywhere I went there were no good songs. Not a single one peaked my interest. Finally, I found the perfect website. It was owned by one man, who made all the songs. I went through all of them and they were gorgeous. The drums, guitar, electronic piano, EVERYTHING was perfect. I downloaded multiple songs and sent them to our google drive. We all took a listen and had to choose our favorite. The one titled "big boss battle" was the best one by far. It fit with all the scenes perfectly and just truly complemented the film. Luckily that's the one than won. Andy said he would see how it sounds with the scenes and contact us later. I felt so proud. I found an amazing piece of music that my friends liked. Anyway that's

Changes made from film review

The struggle that Andy is going through with editing is not being appreciated enough. We are on a very tight schedule. With the ccr and the PowerPoint coming up we have a lot of work to do in a short time span. Andy finished editing all the film and we were ready to review it. We have already shown parts of it to others as written in my previous blog. Andy stayed up all night to finish editing and we cant be more grateful. Me and Jibril have ZERO experience with such high quality editing. We thanked Andy when he woke up and we went over the film. We each took notes on what we liked and disliked. In the end, we went over it together. Most of our issues was with how the scenes transitioned. We felt as though there were a lot of unnecessary cuts. Andy said it was an easy fix because we could just fade it to black and then add fade ins. Our next problem was with the coloring. It was a little too bright outside. Andy said he could add some filters to make things more sad and gray. Our bigge

Redoing the scenes

Image
The time is ticking, and I and the rest of the group are still to make-up the remaining scenes necessary to fix the sequence. Previously, filming wasn't finished due to Maximus needing to leave early, leaving us no time to finish the scenes necessary; so now, I wait to see what day he would be available. The next day, after recording the make-up scenes, Maximus was able to provide another date that he would be available, and I along with the others were all able to be ready that day. Once the time came, I had prepared an hour early just incase any props were missing, and then, I left to meetup at the location of the next set. The location this time would be at a park nearby that would help create the environment necessary in order to produce the scenes. Since I had to bring most of the props with me, I was the last person to arrive to the location. In the scenes that were left, all of us would have to be in the shot, meaning that the camera would have to be positioned or held by

The film Review

Image
Todays the day that we showed the film to others. We chose our three candidates to review the film. First off was my friends cousin. Alex looked at our film and said that everything was done perfectly. To be fair, he’s 12 years old so maybe he just wanted to be acknowledged. Either way, we decided to choose an adult as the next reviewer. We got one of our friends moms to review (he’s not a part of the project.) She watched the film and gave us some critical advice. First, she said that the cuts were very… well cutty. We showed her the edited version of the film and she said the filter fixed the problem. The dark filter also made the action sequences look more realistic. Her second problem was the gun prop. We switched from a black airsoft gun to a plastic orange gun. We told her we couldn’t do anything about it so that’s that. Our third tester was our teacher Mr. Rogers. He criticized everything but that’s probably because he just doesn’t like us. Truly he said he didn’t like the fina
